I’ve noticed that people tend to grade movies on a curve – especially action movies. Maybe it’s because they don’t know any better, or they’ve dropped their standards; but what used to pass for mediocre action now gets the top marks. Movies with very little plot, bad acting, and sometimes, cheesy effects – all have slipped under the radar because of moviegoers’ ravenous appetite for action.
